The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office has honored the retirement of Deputy Brent Harris, who is stepping down after 34 years of service.
Deputy Harris had a long and distinguished career, including 18 years as a K-9 handler with partners Fritz and Nitro. Over the years, he also served in a wide range of roles—Drug Task Force Detective, Neighborhood Response Deputy, Boat Operator, and Search and Rescue Coordinator.
Sheriff Brad Thurman praised Harris’s contributions, saying, “His upbeat positive attitude will be missed! We wish Brent and his family all the best for a well-deserved retirement.”
