Multiple people were injured after a head-on collision last evening on Lewis River Road.

The Washington State Patrol says that 16-year-old Adalyn Stephenson of Woodland was turning into the Lewis River RV Park in a 2013 Subaru Tribeca around 7:45 p.m. A 2001 Subaru Legacy driven by 41-year-old Leticia Vicario Espinoza of Woodland was going southbound on Lewis River Road at milepost 49 when Stephenson failed to yield, causing her to strike the Legacy head-on.

First responders arrived on scene to find Vicario Espinoza and her 15-year-old passenger both injured; they were taken by ambulance to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. Stephenson was injured as well, but she refused transportation. She had a 14-year-old passenger who was not injured in the crash.

Everyone involved had been wearing seatbelts; no drugs or alcohol were involved. Stephenson has, however, been cited for failure to yield.
