Multiple people were injured after a collision involving 2 motorcycles and a vehicle last evening on Ocean Beach Highway near Skamokawa.

The Washington State Patrol says 57-year-old Tonia Pearman of Boise and 55-year-old Douglas Hansen of Longview had been traveling westbound near milepost 28 around 6:25 p.m. Pearman’s motorcycle collided with Hansen’s, causing him to strike an eastbound Subaru Forester driven by 80-year-old Leroy Brown of Vader.

One of the motorcycles and the Forester came to rest in the roadway, while the other motorcycle went down on the westbound shoulder.

When first responders arrived, everyone involved, including an 80-year-old Vancouver woman riding in Brown’s vehicle, was found to be injured. Everyone was taken by ambulance to St. John Medical Center, except Hansen, who was evaluated at the scene.

Pearman has been cited for driving too fast. Both riders were wearing helmets, and Brown and his passenger had been wearing seatbelts.
