The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating after the triple stabbing in Goble Saturday.
At around 8:15 p.m., deputies responded to the Goble Historic Tavern after two victims, identified as 46-year-old Sandra Townsend and 51-year-old Chad Smith, both of Rainier, came in seeking help. A third victim, 45-year-old Richard Flores, was later located at the rock pit on Nicolai Road with extensive stab wounds.
Emergency medical personnel responded and began providing lifesaving care. Flores and Smith were both transported via Life Flight to Portland-area hospitals, while Townsend was taken by ambulance. All three are expected to survive.
The sheriff’s office says the case remains active, and they have not listed any potential suspects. They do, however, say there are no outstanding threats to the public.
Further information will be released as the investigation continues.
