After the first batch of votes came in yesterday, the results for the special election in Cowlitz County are still too close to call. The only item on the ballot here is the Castle Rock School District Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy. As it stands, the levy is passing by 90 votes, with 1,092 voting yes and 1,002 voting no.
Currently, it is estimated that around 400 ballots are still outstanding. Voter turnout is at just over 25%.
In the Winlock School District, things are not looking as favorable for their Educational Program and Operations Replacement Levy. It is currently failing by 55 votes, with 551 voting no and 496 voting yes.
