An elderly man was killed in a DUI crash on Highway 12 earlier this month.

According to a report from the Washington State Patrol, 80-year-old Donald Bell of Rainier, Washington, was traveling westbound at milepost 78 near Salkum on March 15th around 3:10 p.m. Bell’s 2002 Ford Ranger struck the westbound ditch, then rolled over before coming to rest on its roof.

Bell was declared dead at the hospital. It was reported that he had been speeding at the time of the crash, and it was determined that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
