Fatal Crash Off I-5 Near Ostrander—Klog 100.7

An 18-year-old woman was killed in a crash off I-5 near Ostrander last night.

First responders were dispatched around 10:45 p.m. to milepost 44 of I-5 Northbound. They reportedly found the vehicle in the bushes off North Pacific Avenue near Godfrey Road. Within a few minutes, the driver was declared dead. The Washington State Patrol has identified the Eagle Creek woman in their report, but we will not be releasing her name yet to ensure family has been notified.

The Washington State Patrol said the woman had been driving a Toyota 4Runner at a high rate of speed northbound when she left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle veered to the right, struck trees, and came to a stop. The woman had not been wearing a seatbelt, and no drugs or alcohol were involved.
