Work is now underway to repair the major washout that happened in December on Barnes Drive in Castle Rock.
The Cowlitz County Department of Public Works says repairs at the 8700 block have been contracted to Quigg Bros., though no estimated completion date has been released.
Officials are also reminding community members to stay out of the work zone, saying the site is an active and dangerous construction area.
