A Winlock man is facing drug charges after the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office conducted a sting operation to buy fentanyl.

The Daily Chronicle reports that 53-year-old Timothy Perkins was arrested Saturday and is charged with 3 counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and 1 count of delivery.

An informant purchased fentanyl from Perkins for $30 in Vader on Friday. Deputies later stopped Perkins’ vehicle and say they found drug paraphernalia and some of the cash used in the transaction.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered fentanyl, 51 grams of methamphetamine, 25 grams of heroin, and 2 digital scales.

Perkins has previous convictions for drug possession with intent to deliver and drug delivery. A judge set bail at $50,000, and he is scheduled for arraignment Thursday.
