Ride for a great cause! The 9th Annual Deputy Justin DeRosier Memorial Ride is Saturday. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Cowlitz County Hall of Justice in Kelso. Ride to Elk Rock View Point, with lunch included. Proceeds fund a college scholarship honoring Deputy DeRosier.
The Braydon Finkas Memorial Golf Tournament is happening this Saturday at the Skyline Golf Course in Cathlamet. The tournament, which required pre-registration, starts at 9 a.m. It’s to celebrate the life of Braydon, who was one of the 11 men killed in the Nippon Dynawave disaster. All proceeds will benefit his significant other, Kaitlyn Kincaid.

The 2026 Cemetery Tour at the Bunker Hill Cemetery is this Saturday. Tours start at 1 p.m. and run every 20 minutes. There will be reenactors portraying the people buried at the cemetery who shaped our local history. It is a suggested donation of $5. Cool August Nights is on at the fairways of the Longview Country Club this Saturday. It’s Chrome & Country, a free concert and car show with the gates opening at 2 p.m. There is a packed lineup with Little Texas, Adrien Nunez, and Tenille Arts.
