August 27, 2025Kelso native and former MLB pitcher Trevor May, who spent nearly a decade in the big leagues, is drawing attention online again through a viral YouTube video.
The video, titled “MLB Player Goes Undercover vs. High School Team,” was posted Friday by sports YouTuber DSARM and has already surpassed 1.5 million views, more than any video May has uploaded on his own channel.
In the video, May—wearing his old Oakland A’s uniform—takes the mound against a 17U travel team in Los Angeles. Players who made contact or got a hit off him earned free baseball gear.
The appearance comes as May continues his “road to 100” challenge, where he’s aiming to throw a 100-mph fastball by the end of the current MLB season.
