This Friday, there will be full overnight closures of I-5 in Napavine as Washington Department of Transportation contractor crews work on the Koontz Road overpass.
All three lanes of northbound I-5 will be closed between 9:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3, and again the following Friday, April 10. The detour will take travelers off Exit 68, onto Highway 12, and eventually back onto the freeway.
During the work, crews will be removing a damaged concrete girder and part of the driving surface along the roadway. Then, on Sunday, April 12, and Monday, April 13, a single lane will be closed at the same spot between 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
