Keep an eye on those mailboxes this weekend; ballots are now going out for the November 3rd general election.

The voting period is 18 days. A voters’ guide was sent out to registered voters in recent weeks with information on each of the candidates; that guide can also be found online.

In Cowlitz County, the ballots include the 3rd Congressional District race, statewide ballot initiatives, State Supreme Court positions, State House races, the Commissioner District 3 race, Longview’s Proposition 1 to build a 3rd fire station, and more.

You have until 8 p.m. on November 3rd to return your ballot either in person at the County Elections Office, via a drop box, or by mail, as long as your ballot is postmarked by Election Day.
