Edith Patricia Forcier: October 15, 1933 – October 10, 2026

ST HELENS- Edith Forcier of Scappoose, Oregon passed away October 10, 2026, at the age of 92.  She was born October 15, 1933, in Portland, Oregon to Louis and Ida (Hansen) Travis.  In 1942 her family moved out to Scappoose where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Scappoose High School with the class of 1954.

On June 23, 1956, Edith married Richard Forcier at Grace Lutheran Church, they had four children together.  Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children and the home.  She worked at Columbia Care Center for a few years, she was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and she attended the Four Square Church in Scappoose.  She also enjoyed reading and chasing her grandkids around.

Edith is survived by her son Richard Forcier and her daughter Esther Forcier, 9grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son Patrick and her daughter Kathy Newell, as well as her siblings Carl, Ken, Don and Earl.

A memorial service will be held October 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, Oregon.
