There is a feel-good story out of Astoria that has been making the rounds online: a fawn was rescued from a home’s roof on the Fourth of July.

The Astoria Fire Department posted, “This certainly doesn’t happen every day, but somehow this young deer got onto a roof and needed a little help from your Astoria firefighters. If you find yourself stuck on a roof, we’ll come get you, too!”

The fawn was later reunited with its mother.
