Calling all poets and writers — Wordfest will hold its first fall event this evening.

The free gathering takes place at St. Stephen Episcopal Church in Longview and features poetry, personal stories, and a “romantic suspense” novel. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m.; there will be presentations and then an open mic where guests may read for up to 10 minutes.
