Even more delays are expected on I-5 in the local area—this time just south of Castle Rock—as crews work to remove potentially hazardous trees.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says maintenance crews will be taking down two dangerous trees near northbound I-5 exit 46. The two right lanes will be closed between mileposts 44.7 and 45.1, near Headquarters Road, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Officials say the trees are being removed to prevent falling branches or trees from striking vehicles or blocking the roadway in the future.
