RA Long High School was briefly evacuated yesterday morning after a fire alarm went off. The district says all students and staff left the building safely without incident.

The Longview Fire Department responded and discovered a cell phone battery inside a student’s backpack had caught fire. Firefighters cleared the building, and classes quickly resumed as normal.
