March 13, 2025Tonight, the Longview City Council will be discussing Mint Valley rates and the 2025 Neighborhood Park Grant Program Funding Recommendations.
Establishing the rates charged at the Mint Valley Golf Course is something the council does each year. The rates adopted tonight will go into effect on April 1st and last through March 31st, 2026. In the recommended action, rate increases vary. The regular annual pass has a recommended $150 increase, and there is also a new weekday-only annual pass that may be added at a lower price.
The Neighborhood Park Grant Program Funding provides $25,000 in matching funds that the city distributes yearly for community-led park projects. This year, there are three proposals totaling $28,600, though the city has $4,200 in rollover funding from last year, so all the projects could be covered. The requests come from Central Sandlot Baseball, Longview Youth Baseball, and the Lions Island Totem Pole.
Tonight’s meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Longview City Council Chambers.
