The City of Longview is inviting residents to an open house on proposed traffic and safety improvements along Nichols Boulevard near R.A. Long High School and Lake Sacajawea.

The goal of the project is to improve pedestrian access, crosswalks, and overall traffic safety. The proposed changes would affect vehicle access near the Nichols Boulevard connections with Hemlock Street and Garfield Street.

The open house will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the second-floor training room at Longview City Hall.

Anyone who uses the area, lives nearby, or just wants to learn more about the proposal is encouraged to attend. You will get a chance to review the plans and provide feedback before final decisions are made.
