A live audience debate between Cowlitz County commissioner Position 3 candidates, Republican Richard Dahl and Democrat Chelsey Chandler, is scheduled for tonight at Lower Columbia College.

The debate starts at 7 p.m. at the Rose Center for the Arts. Doors open at 6:30, and admission is free. The event will also be live on KLTV Channel 29.

The debate is sponsored by the Cowlitz Civil Dialogue Project and members of the League of Women Voters.

The Cowlitz Civil Dialogue Project says it also has recorded debates currently available on the KLTV website. They include debates between Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Jill Karmy and challenger Jacob Lervold for Superior Court Seat 4, and Christopher Eastwood and Nicole Knowles, who are competing for the open Seat 3 on the court. There is also a debate between Democrat Evan Jones and Republican Representative Ed Orcutt for the 20th Legislative District State House seat.

A debate between the candidates for one of the 19th Legislative District State House seats is scheduled to be recorded on October 19th, between incumbent Republican Joel McEntire and Democratic challenger Terry Carlson.
