Charles Forbes Williams: June 13, 1937 — April 18, 2025

LONGVIEW- Charles Forbes Williams (Chuck), age 87 of Longview, Washington peacefully passed away surrounded by family on April 18, 2025. Chuck is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nickie Williams, his son Jonathan (Lisa) Williams, daughter Elisabeth (Kevin) DeWhitt, younger brother Denzil Williams, 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Williams, brother Bob Williams, and his parents Lester and Mary Marjorie Williams. Born June 16, 1937, Chuck was a lifelong Longview resident and raised his family in the same area where 5 generations have lived, worked, and played. Chuck graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1955 and soon after joined the US Navy Reserve, serving 8 years. In 1999, after 44 years, Chuck retired from Longview Fibre. His community service included volunteering as an assistant Scout leader and firefighter for Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue; he could always be counted on to help a neighbor in need.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Hospice.
