Cowlitz Fire District 6 says they performed some live training last evening.
The training, which spanned from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., was conducted near 4th Avenue and C Street, just a few blocks from the dike.
They advised residents in a release that this was NOT live-fire training. However, smoke machines were used to create a more realistic atmosphere for interior operations.
