A Battle Ground man has been arrested for hit-and-run after a crash last night on 15th Avenue.

Longview Police officers responded to the 1800 block of 15th, right near the high school, after a vehicle reportedly left the roadway, hit a home, and then fled the scene.

Arriving law enforcement quickly found the suspect and his car with a mangled front end. 41-year-old Jacob North was arrested for hit-and-run; he was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail around 4:13 a.m. today.

Officers say they do not believe drugs or alcohol caused the crash, and North provided no explanation for how his vehicle left the roadway.
