The Longview Public Library hosts Humanities Washington Speaker LaToya Brackett, associate professor of African American studies at the University of Puget Sound, for the presentation “They Want Our Rhythm, But Not Our Blues: African American Innovation Through Pop Culture.”
Everyone is invited to attend this free presentation on February 15th at 2pm. 
Humanities Washington’s Speakers Bureau roster is made up of professors, artists, activists, historians, performers, journalists, and others—all chosen not only for their expertise but their ability to inspire discussion with people of all ages and backgrounds.
